This project involved repair of piling underneath a roadway column. Sometime in the past, the column had been struck and had broken, therefore making Eldridge road at risk of collapsing. Serco was hired to come in this emergency situation.
We secured the area, demucked, dewatered, and worked underneath the bridge to lift the bridge off the piling. We pulled the bridge back into alignment with a fabricated steel product, encapsulated it, let it cure, released the bridge, released the piling, then lowered the bridge back onto the column and rebuilt the subgrade and the riprap above it so it was protected. Thanks to our experience and strength in structural concrete work, we were able to provide a sound and effective course of action.
